Paul Bettany has had an interesting career of late. The first thing I saw him in was The Da Vinci Code (2006) where he plays the albino servant to an authority figure of a radical sect of the Catholic Church, named Silas. I then heard his voice in Iron Man (2008) and the tie-in video game, providing personality to Tony Stark's computer system, Jarvis.

My favorite performance can be seen in Creation (2009) in which he plays Charles Darwin, author of On the Origin of Species. Bettany appears in the film with his wife Jennifer Connolly, who plays Darwin's wife Emma.

I meant to see him in Legion, but haven't gotten around to it yet. The film's description sees Bettany as an angel who protects mankind from a God who has lost faith in humanity. His latest turn in Priest seems to continue a familiar trend in his acting choices in recent years, but then maybe it's just a coincidence.
